Renaissance Man

A Renaissance Man, or a polymath, is a person whose expertise spans a significant number of different subject areas. Though I am not a "Renaissance Man" as of yet, I want to be in the future. I want to go to college to study and major in Nursing, so I plan on becoming an expert in health sciences such as anatomy, physiology, organic chemistry, and even psychology.I have also heard that it is a good idea to have a minor to go along with your major in college. If i do minor in anything, I want it to be in Automotive Technician Training, since I really like cars, and I think I would be good at it. Based on my goals, I can become a polymath in areas like the health sciences and car mechanics.

Alice looks like a pretty cool program. I myself have barely scarped the surface of the capabilities that Alice has. I predict that we will have a lot of fun with this program. I am very excited to see what else Alice has in store for us. I think it's really cool that it allows you to create your own environment with your own characters and scenarios. In my brief experimentation, I created an aquatic environment that was modeled off of a river. The environment included a shark, an arapaima, a few piranhas, a caiman, and even a few aqueous plants.

Over the weekend, the cross country squad and I headed down to New York City to run in the Manhattan Invitational Cross Country Meet. We got into the CM vans and started a very long ride to Stamford, Connecticut, where we would stay for the night. We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings, which was very good. I got the boneless chipotle barbecue wings. We stayed at a Marriott hotel for the night, which was a very nice hotel. The team and I woke up, hopped in the vans, and made our journey to Van Courtland Park in the Bronx where we would run in the invitational. The freshman raced in the mourning, and they all did extremely well. All three of them received medals for top finishes. The varsity team raced later in the afternoon. We all had solid performances, but no medals. We got back into the vans, and headed home. We got back to CM by Saturday night.

On Sunday night, I went over my friend Pat's house to watch the Red Sox game. My boys Jack and Mike were there as well. It was an incredible game, and the Sox won with a David Ortiz grand slam combo'd with a walk off single by Jarrod Saltalamacchia that drove in Johnny Gomes. That game made history.

Pokemon

Pokemon was invented in 1996 by the Nintendo Company, specifically by Satoshi Tajiri. It quickly became one of the best selling game franchises in history. Pokemon has since become the second-most successful and lucrative video game-based media franchise in the world, only behind Nintendo's Mario franchise. It has been developed into a video game, a card game, and even a television series (with movies). However, the most notable has been the video game series. Pokemon has come out with games for the Nintendo Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS. Personally, I like Pokemon. Though I haven't really gotten into any of the new(er) games, I still play many of the versions for the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. My favorite versions include Pokemon Crystal, Pokemon Ruby, and Pokemon Leaf Green.
